Is there any way to change the size of an image not originally from this site? I feel like every image I post ends up enormous and I'd like to fix it.

Image sizes on images not from this site can't be changed. You're going to need to do it manually on photoediting software.
To change the size of an image from this site, left click and select "Open image in new tab." Then find the &size= part of the image URL. Change the number after &size= to change image size.
