Holy!

My party of level 48s get slaughtered by the demilich at the end of the forgotten tomb!

My tank keeps his thorn armor on (as much as I can) and still takes whopping damage.
My damage doer (my original created pet) actually does ok until the tank drops
My healer is absolutely useless and I want to kill her myself
And I think my mend ability is just, well, permanently broken; it never works.

I really don't want to have to start all over again! I was hoping I could get to the area(s) where my battles actually count toward the event. I have NO idea what I did wrong or how to beat this guy but I guess it's kinda game over for me here :(

Just saying you have 2 tanks in your team, an earth and a shadow it might be best to switch one of them to an air. It will take an amount of gold I'm afraid but if you put both points in strength then you can do a fair amount of damage. It might also be good to see if you can get some higher quality armour, the stuff your wearing is only rare try to see if you can buy some epic or legendary stuff from the broker. Also maybe do some missions for free draughts and elixirs you can use.

I will change my original created pet (neloya) to air when I figure it out. I don't make any gold by battling and my pets all kinda suck aren't worth selling. I will have to make due with the gear I have. As long as each pets stat is over 300 apparently the seals can be done

Did you activate any of the tomb seals? If not, thats probably another contributing factor. The fewer of those that have been activated, the more powerful Desius is. Activating any of them weakens him, so check to see if youve done that.

Other than that, things look pretty good. Though I agree with the person who replied to you before me- maybe change one of your tanks (high HP, lower...everything else) to a cannon (high damage, low-ish HP). Also, if you have any other Illusionist or Evoker bracers, you might want to switch out Neloyas Disciple bracer for one of those. That category of gear splits pets attack power between magical & physical damage, so isnt quite as effective as equipment that does one type of damage or the other. Its actually recommended that you not use that for Party pets- only for mission pets whose proficiency points are all applied towards Health.

You do that the same way you change what a pets proficiency points are applied to- using gold. This guide explains how to do it in better detail: https://www.sylestia.com/forums/?thread=45988

I reset my shadow pet to air and her pts to str (shes my damage pet) for courage
I reset my earth tanks points to agility so he's good to go (I hope) for alacrity
my so called healer is at 373 for the perception seal
but who the heck do i use for the fourth seal - cunning??? which is dex . . . none of them have that high of dex

do i have to again spend gold (i don't get any for battles at this stage or any other I've come through) to reset someone to do that seal? Why don't the battles award gold! Everything costs so much and nothing is worth much :(

I'm pretty sure battles do award gold just very very little. If you would like I can send you some armour that will help get your stats higher and maybe even get your dex to 300. Also your air should have some dex but don't give it any until you have more proficiency points that you can use.


Edit: I have some extra armour for your air pet, put it on her and then you will have enough dex without switching the points. If possible, only if possible switch your tanks points to health before the boss fight.

Ya, according to what i just read:
Light = Dex 2 and Int 3
Shadow (earth and water) = HP 3 and Agi 2
Air (fire) = str 3 and dex 2
if i didn't give my "new" air pet the 2 pts in str .. she wouldn't have enough for the str seal I don't think lol

This is a bit confusing for me still, along with ALL the different types of equipment all with different levels. I am sure I will eventually get the hang of all of it. It's just really a bit overwhelming to begin with (specially when I'm in a rush to get where my fighting counts for the event!) Sucks to be new . . . lmao

I will definitely be sticking around here at sylestia though! Even with being frustrated, I find the community to be top notch with generosity and help! Just need to slow down to smell the roses and just say, there's always the next event :)

Hmmm..., do you have another pet at the same level as the three youre currently using that has a high enough Dexterity stat? If so, just switch out one of your current party pets for that one, and switch it back out when youre done. If not, just activating three of the seals will be a big help in weakening Desius so hes easier to beat (I think I was only able to activate three of them myself, but I was still able to beat him.).

Unless you can do what I described above, yes, you would. They do sometimes, though not very large amounts, if I remember correctly.

Yes there's always more events don't worry you'll get there eventually! Okay give me a second and I'll send you the armour for your attacker. Activate the seals and then you should be able to kill the boss. It might help to follow the guide in the future, it's in the Player Guides section and called sylestia walkthrough not the lost grove one though. It explains plenty of stuff as long as you don't mind spoilers.
