Almost empty........ the world had been that way for close to half a century now since the Great Disaster Only the elders remember what happened but everything after was never the same. After the Great Disaster humans shared half of their soul with animals the connection granted the beast great power in return for their loyalty to the human with which they were bonded. Some tragically lost their connection by death and both the animals and humans effected were called the Souless, completely separated the animals no longer had great power and were aggressive and wild mindless beasts and are often hunted for food, and the humans were blind and deaf unable to sense the world about them And outcast by their own kind..... but for those connected to the world around them there will soon be another great change.

Setting
Corpus
A city that is mostly underground but they do go up durning the night to hunt, the heat is too hot during the day(because thats what heat does it is hot...)
Litigo
And Oasis four miles south of Corpus through the dessert the trek takes a half of a night however Litigo is still surrounded by desert so though daylight hours are sustainable its still hotter and the desert is still a no go
Terms
Bondling- the constituents of the human and animal bond
Core- the Bondlings given power or ability
Souless - someone or something that has lost their Bondling
Cord - a visible bond seen when either created or broken
Things to keep in mind
This is a simi literate role play, Im not Grammer police and even I spell things wrong and mis type, but make a genuine effort to form your responses so that they add to the story not drag you along its more fun for everyone the more descriptive the response is!
This is post apocalyptic so the tech of today is well...... more simple Ill explain what tech we do and dont have because its been fifty years so they aint cave people!(but they do live in a cave )
If you dont have a Bondling you will be a Souless( they are both Blind and deaf, very hard characters to play but remember at one point in time they could see and hear)
Your Bondling sage and your humans age will be the same
The animals cant speak but can communicate telepathically with their respective Bondling

Only the Bondlings (the animals ) have powers and the first image isnt working but other than that good to go Ill ping you when we start!

I've almost got mine completed, though I'm a bit confused at the core part, would the special ability be something like magic as eclipticgalaxy said or would it be more of an extended physical ability?

Its a spicific ability it can be mental or physical its kinda like a quirk but for the animal not the person
